Physical Ability

Cam Akers showed a multitude of tools in his three years at FSU. He was often met in the backfield by defenders and turned a lot of big negative plays into at least small gains.

He’s put together extremely well, measuring in at 5’10” and 217 pounds with a 4.47 forty yard dash and 35.5-inch vertical leap.

The speed impressed some people for whatever reason, FSU fans knew he had great burst and acceleration, but maybe not elite top-end speed.

Of course, the NFL is a different animal altogether, but he’s exceptionally tough for one guy to bring down. He’s capable of being a three-down back at the next level and can catch the ball out of the backfield too, which has become a huge part of NFL passing game the past few years.
