Former FSU running back Cam Akers improved his stock a great deal at the NFL Combine. Here’s why he’ll be a better back at the next level.

Cam Akers came to FSU football expecting to fill in the big shoes Dalvin Cook left after breaking all the FSU rushing records in three years.

Akers got off to a great start, breaking Cook’s freshman rushing record and surpassing the 1,000-yard barrier with a true freshman quarterback and sub-par offensive line.

It should be a crime with what Akers had to deal with his last two years in Tallahassee.

He battling injuries, incompetent coaching, and did I mention two more years of running behind a sub-par offensive line and mediocre quarterback play?

Akers had his fair share of mishaps too, he didn’t always make the right read in the event there was a hole to run in.

He had some inopportune fumbles too. However, he’s a great talent that greatly improved his stock at the NFL Draft a few weeks back.

Let’s take a look at why he’ll be an even better running back in the NFL.
