FSU football has been looking for playmakers on both sides of the ball. The coaches have offered a 2022 safety prospect Saturday.

FSU football continues to send out offers for its 2022 recruiting class. I wrote a couple of days ago how I would like for them to focus more on Florida and Georgia.

It looks like I got my wish as they offered safety Jaron Willis from Leesburg, Georgia on Saturday.

Willis isn’t rated by any of the recruiting services yet, but already has 11 offers from the likes of FSU, Florida, Auburn, Virginia Tech, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Pittsburgh, Penn State, South Carolina, and Tennessee. The majority of these offers have come within the last month.

Willis spoke on receiving his FSU offer via his Twitter account:

Willis checks in at 6’2″ 210 pounds as a high school junior and could grow out of the safety position and transition to linebacker once he gets into a college strength and conditioning program.

He’s likely not ranked yet because it’s extremely early in the 2022 recruiting cycle, and it doesn’t look like he’s attended any camps to gain exposure.

However, his offer list thus far tells you he’s an emerging prospect a lot of big-time programs are interested in.

The good news is, FSU football was able to get in the game relatively early with their offer. Not to mention Tallahassee is about a two-hour drive directly south of his hometown.

Thoughts

I like the offer, and I’m glad to see them send an offer to a Georgia recruit that’s within driving distance of campus.

The Noles have a history of getting impact players from Georgia within that two-hour radius. Could Willis be the next one?
