Offense

The FSU offense started strong and was a top 25 offense early in the season. However, a two QB system and harder part of the schedule saw that ranking gradually slip at the season went on.

The Noles finished with the No. 49 ranked offense according to SP+ which was a major improvement over 2018 where they finished No. 97.

There are questions at quarterback and running back. The offensive line isn’t set in stone, but the Noles return most of their production at wide receiver.

The biggest difference is former five-star running back Cam Akers will not be leading the rushing attack.

Is it possible for the Noles to improve from No. 49 to No. 30? I think so, but it’ll come down to quarterback play coupled with how the offensive line performs.

It’ll likely be running back by committee with Tamorrion Terry leading the wide receivers. However, the Noles will get Ontaria Wilson and Keyshawn Helton back as both missed a good bit of time last season with injuries.

The key to more success is having more success on first down. Mike Norvell has one of the better offenses in the country in the past few years. He should be able to pick up where Kendal Briles left off to continue the upward trend.
