Perception/Momentum

FSU football just finished the 2020 recruiting cycle with the No. 22 ranked program nationally. For whatever reason, there’s a section of FSU fans who are disappointed with how that class turned out.

I addressed the factors that would hamper the Noles from finishing with a highly ranked class nearly a month ago.

Nevertheless, Mike Norvell can put all that to rest by starting out the 2021 recruiting cycle strong. The addition of Luke Altmyer who’ll eventually be rated a four-star, and top 40 player Branden Jennings helps create momentum on the recruiting trails.

Jennings is the type of player other highly ranked players will look at and say they may need to take a second look at FSU.

Not to mention he’ll likely be selected to several all-star games and events where he can help the staff recruit other elite players.

Jennings is also from nearby Jacksonville so it’ll be possible for him to make it to campus several times when other big-time recruits want to visit too.

His commitment also speaks to what Mike Norvell and staff bring to the table and where they believe this program is going.
