Some FSU Fans Need Better Understanding

As I’ve mentioned some FSU football fans have been under a rock or something the past few seasons.

I’ve seen comments on our social media pages regarding the recruiting class that’s downright shameful to hear.

I’ve read descriptions like “trash” and “garbage” to describe this group of players. We’ll talk about this more in a bit, but aside from the rankings, this recruiting class is better than both 2018 and 2019.

Mike Norvell had less than two months to put this class together and it’s not like the old regime left the class full of elite talent.

There were less than 40 blue-chip players left unsigned after the early signing period. It’s not like the prior staff had established any type of relationship with the majority of those players to make it easier to sign any of them.

The work has to  be done earlier in the recruiting period and the prior staff wasn’t able to do that. Not to mention the product on the field wasn’t very good and Willie Taggart was fired during the season.

All of those were factors that led to the class not being able to land more blue-chip recruits like FSU fans would have liked.

The good news is this coaching staff seems to be well ahead of the game for 2021 compared to the old staff. If the 2021 recruiting class finishes near the 2020 class, then I think FSU fans will have a right to complain.
