FSU football is still working to address needs in its 2020 recruiting class. Fans react to a real playmaker committing Sunday evening.
FSU football added a ton of speed to its 2020 recruiting class when three-star athlete Corey Wren announced his commitment Sunday evening.
It’s a move that was largely expected after Wren visited Tallahassee last week and announced he had set a commitment date for his top five schools a few days later.
The former Georgia commit has well over 30 offers from a ton of power five programs with FSU battling Oklahoma State and TCU down the stretch for his commitment.
Even though most FSU football fans expected the commitment, it was great to get a player who can be playmaker in so many different facets. Check out their reactions below.

Thoughts
FSU coaches have to make the best of the talent that chose not to sign early during the early signing period. Wren is an offensive weapon that can make his presence felt in year one in the right situations.
He’ll need to hit the strength and conditioning program hard as he’s not the biggest player at 5’9′ 170 pounds. Wren will likely never be a every down college running back who’s running between the tackles frequently like Dalvin Cook or Cam Akers.
However, he has speed and acceleration that neither possess who can line up at different positions and be a threat on special teams.
At this point in time it’s like 2020 recruiting is similar to the NFL Draft in the later rounds. Teams need to take the best players available while also trying to address roster needs.
Wren fits both of those categories and should be a player who can make an impact as a true freshman even if it’s solely on special teams as kickoff or punt returner.
