Mentality

When I watched that Clemson/LSU national title game I had flashbacks of the 2013 team. Two teams that had absolutely NO fear when they squared off to do battle.

There was no false bravado. It was a businesslike attitude with Clemson understanding they had been there before and LSU understanding they had beaten a lot of good teams to get to that moment.

There were able to have that mentality due to the success they had experienced. It’s something that’s hard to cultivate when you’re 18-20 over the last three seasons.

However, it begins RIGHT now putting in the work on and off the field to get the desired results. They say luck is when preparation meets opportunity and you can say the same thing about winning.

FSU players have to get back to believing they are going to win before they ever set foot on the football field. It’s about wanting to dominate every single rep and that’s what you saw from LSU and Clemson Monday night.

It begins at practice. However, it’s about practicing perfect so that when the time comes there are no doubts about what’s going to happen when it’s game time.
