FSU Offense Showed Potential

The way the FSU offense finished the 2019 was night and day from how they began the season. I, along with must FSU football fans thought the offense was going to be unstoppable after watching the first quarter against Boise State.

They scored touchdowns on their first three possessions of the season and was a yard away from scoring a touchdown on their fourth possession before an errant snap cost them 20 yards and they were forced to kick a field goal.

However, as the season began to go on the offense began to significantly regress. FSU decided to try a two quarterback system that failed miserably and wide receivers Ontaria Wilson and Keyshawn Helton were lost about midway through the season due to injuries.

Quarterback play regressed along with the offensive line being the offensive line didn’t help matters. However, there were glimpses of the team actually being competent at times unlike the 2018 season.

Cam Akers and Tamorrion Terry both eclipsed the 1,000 yard mark and all of the impact players on offense will be returning as of now except Akers.

IF the Noles can find a quarterback and a couple of offensive tackles from the transfer portal or JUCO ranks they could make some noise in 2020.
