No. 5 FSU at No. 3 Clemson 2013

879. Final. 51. 804. 14

This mostly everyone’s second favorite game behind the national championship game and it’s hard to argue.

This is the infamous Jameis Winston pre-game speech about “we ain’t leaving without a victory.”

The Noles went into this game as -5 point favorites and absolutely obliterated the Tigers in front of their home crowd. All people wanted to talk about going into the game was how loud Death Valley was and how it would be a factor in the game.

FSU’s star defensive back

Lamarcus Joyner

forced a turnover on Clemson’s first possession and the Noles immediately put a touchdown on the board in just over a minute.

That wasn’t the last you’d hear from Joyner as he had a strip sack that Mario Edwards’s Jr. returned for a touchdown and an interception later in the game that was timely.

Winston had a monster game with 444 passing yards with three touchdowns and an interception on 22 of 34 attempts. Nick O’Leary had a monster game with five reception for 161 yards. FSU wide receiver great Rashad Greene had eight receptions for 146 yards and two touchdowns.

This game put the world on notice that FSU was likely the best team in the nation from that point forward.
