FSU football: 3 reasons Early Signing Day portends strong recruiting finish

FSU football had a strong Early Signing Day by signing most of the current commits. Three reasons why they could finish strong in February.
FSU football climbed five spots in the national recruiting rankings during Wednesday’s Early Signing Day.
It was a day that likely went much better than it would have gone had Mike Norvell and some staff members from the old regime not been in place to have a strong showing.
In fact, a lot of credit has to go to Odell Haggins who was instrumental in leading the kids during the final two games of the season.
However, recent interviews with Mike Norvell and FSU coordinators Kenny Dillingham and Adam Fuller have given incite on just how much of an impact he had on keeping this recruiting class together.
A lot of credit has to go to FSU wide receivers coach Ron Dugans, and it’s likely one of the reasons he was retained from the previous staff along with Haggins.
As we’ve documented, the Noles signed all of their current commits except one in Malachi Wideman and he still has until the end of Friday to get that done. If we count Wideman in the class that leaves the Noles with about 10 more spots to fill if they wish to take a full class.
Of course players deciding to enter the transfer portal later could cause that number to fluctuate. There’s a lot to be excited about and the way Early Signing Day went portends FSU could close strong on the trail in February.
