Quarterback

FSU football likely needs two quarterbacks in this 2020 recruiting class. Here’s the tricky part, four-star QB commit Jeff Sims hasn’t decommitted but has been hearing from Georgia Tech and they got him on campus recently.

Sims had taken being a FSU commit out of his Twitter bio but inserted back in there after talking to Mike Norvell Monday.

FSU desperately needs to sign a high school QB since they haven’t signed one since the 2017 class.

Four-star QB Robby Ashford decommitted from Ole Miss Tuesday and could be a target with new offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham recruiting him while at Auburn.

The Noles have James Blackman and Jordan Travis on the roster with real game experience. Wyatt Rector remains on the roster and Alex Hornibrook will have exhausted eligibility after the Sun Bowl.

If the Noles miss on a QB they could also hit the transfer portal in hopes of getting lucky in landing a QB that fits the offense and eligible to play immediately.
