FSU Defense

I’m sorry to break it to you in case you didn’t know, but FSU is going to be even worse on defense next season more than likely.

The last two games without Marvin Wilson have been telling and he’s likely played his last game in the garnet and gold. I’d be willing to be Cory Durden will declare for the NFL Draft too, and that leaves FSU’s defensive line very thin when it comes to experience and impact players.

There was absolutely no pass rush to speak of and Alabama State engineered drives of 7, 13, 12, 9, 10, and 8 plays on the day.

They ran 80 plays compared to just 56 plays for FSU’s offense and this is a FCS level team folks. I know Marvin Wilson didn’t play, but he shouldn’t have to play to shut down a FCS offense.

Where in the world would this defense be without Hamsah Nasirildeen who continues his strong play with 11 total tackles and a interception returned for a touchdown?

There’s a growing possibility he could declare for the NFL Draft too. Aside from his play, the FSU secondary continues to not play the ball in the air and allow opposing receivers to look like all-stars against them.

It’s not looking good on that side of the ball folks moving forward, especially of Harlon Barnett remains the defensive coordinator.
