FSU football has produced some excellent defensive tackles over the years. They could have a NFL first rounder currently on the team in Marvin Wilson.
FSU football has a number of impact players on both sides of the ball. However, none of them are more important than the big defensive tackle in the middle in Marvin Wilson.
It’s why he was listed as No. 1 in our top five most irreplaceable players for the Noles a few weeks ago.
The junior defensive tackle is absolutely killing it in his money year. He’s already matched his total from last season with 4.5 tackles for loss, and already halfway past (22) his total number of tackles (42) for the entire season last year.
Guys, we’re just four games into the 2019 season so he should obliterate his numbers from a year ago. We’re not the only ones paying attention to his production either as ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. has moved him into the No. 14 spot in his updated 2020 NFL Draft Big Board (subscription required):

- Alabama WR Henry Ruggs III (No. 7)
- Wisconsin RB Jonathan Taylor (No. 13)
- Florida State DT Marvin Wilson (No. 14)

I've graded 34 prospects and watched 60ish so far for the 2020 class, and I finally have my first draft crush:

Florida State DT Marvin Wilson.
That's a bad, bad man.
Thoughts
Wilson is playing at a ridiculous level while also playing an unbelievable amount of snaps through four games. He’s ranked second in the nation in the number of snaps played through four games.
A prime example of his relentlessness was him being on the field for the final snap in the Louisville game and recovering a fumble that was bouncing around like a pinball for what seemed like eternity.
The game was in hand, yet he was still out there hustling like recovering that fumble was life and death.
That’s my old roommate! Love ya Dell. @FSUFootball @Seminoles I BELIEVE! pic.twitter.com/LWR0eOL1yd

Wilson looks to continue the trend of FSU football defensive linemen being drafted the past few years and would be the second consecutive year a FSU defensive linemen was drafted in the first round (Brian Burns in 2019).
