FSU football has had a defensive resurgence in recent games. Who are the top five impact players through the first five games?
At times it has felt like FSU football has played an entire 12 game schedule in just five games. The range of emotions this fan base has experienced has been incredible.
Just think back to the huge halftime lead over Boise State and how it felt like this team would steamroll almost everyone on the schedule.
Then fast forward to watching that halftime lead evaporate in no time and FSU ultimately losing that game.
The defensive performance against Louisiana-Monroe was some of the most jaw dropping things I’ve witnessed of late, and not in a good way.
I remember feeling like just lose the game and get it over with at one point. That’s how lethargic the defense looked and I honestly thought the ship was going down in a hurry.
Jim Leavitt was brought on as a defensive analyst mid-week after the Louisiana-Monroe game and the defense has been night and day.
Go figure right? The defense has gotten better with each progressive game since he’s been hired. Coincidence? It can’t be folks.
