Offensive Line

The FSU football offensive line has consistently gone downhill since the 2016 season and they were not great at pass protecting that year. Actually, Dalvin Cook probably made them look better than they were.

This unit has nowhere to go but up and I think Randy Clements is the man to help them improve over last year.

They allowed 36 sacks and 103 tackles for loss last season which were among the worst in the nation.

However, they’ve got a few pieces this season they didn’t have last year. Graduate transfer Ryan Roberts is an upgrade at tackle. I think Baveon Johnson is an upgrade over Alec Eberle.

Brady Scott was serviceable most of the time last year even though he wasn’t physically ready to play. Jauan Williams finally looks like he is turning the corner physically and Dontae Lucas will probably wind up starting at guard before the season is over.

I think this unit will be better than last year and Kendal Briles will do a better job of hiding their flaws with playcalling.
