Defensive Tackle

The defensive tackle position is one of which I was concerned about a couple of months back. The Noles didn’t have any commitments and seemingly most of the top rated players were committing elsewhere.

FSU was able to land underrated three-star defensive tackle Emanuel Rodgers on July 12th to steady things a bit.

FSU was in the mix for three-star Jerzhan Newton but he officially visited Maryland recently and seems to be trending that way after not visiting FSU for Saturday Night Live.

The possibility of Marvin Wilson and Cory Durden leaving after this season means the Noles need to take at least two defensive tackles.

One emerging target is former Auburn commit, three-star Damarjhe Lewis who visited FSU on July 25th and was offered that day.

He’s from Griffin High School in Georgia and intends to visit FSU for a game in the fall.
