Clemson

Listen, this isn’t a game anyone is expecting FSU football to win. Even the more homer FSU fans are looking at this game right now and just hoping it’s competitive.

The good news is the Noles were competitive for one quarter against the Tigers. Unfortunately, the game is four quarters and they dominated the Noles unlike any other time in the series.

They likely could have scored 80 points or more if Dabo Swinney had not called the dogs off early.

This is a perception game.

Right now, most people and pundits have Clemson right there with Alabama in terms of the two best programs in the country.

This game will be about looking to close the gap perception wise as to give the coaching staff something to point to on the recruiting trails.

Something tangible recruits can look at and say, “OK, I want to join what you’re building to get back to the top and it doesn’t look like it’s going to take long.”

Another blowout loss like last season and that’s going to be a difficult sale on the recruiting trail considering what Clemson lost from last year’s title team.
