NC State

NC State has defeated the Noles the last two seasons with the 2018 game getting ugly quickly.

In fact, FSU was fairly luck to win the 2016 contest and would have lost if NC State’s defensive back didn’t drop a sure fire Deondre Francois interception late in the game.

The Wolfpack have always played the Noles tough for whatever reason although their program is usually the lesser talented of the two teams.

Why are they listed? Well, it’s a home game against a ACC Atlantic Division foe and it’s a team FSU football should be defeating each season given the talent disparity.

The Noles host the Wolfpack the week before the Clemson game. There’s no reason the Noles should be looking past NC State being they’ve lost the last two years against them.

FSU could be 2-2, 3-1 or 4-0 going into the NC State game. If they go into the game 2-2 and then lose with Clemson on deck they’d need to win four of the last six just to make a bowl game.

That’s likely not going to happen if they lose to a NC State team with a new QB and the loss of several other key players.
