Position Of Need

I’ve been focusing the need for FSU to win in the trenches and how they need to address the defensive line and offensive line in this recruiting cycle.

The tight end position is a need that’s now met with the addition of Boatwright. It’s possible the Noles could take another tight end or a fourth wide receiver depending on how the numbers shake out.

FSU will lose senior Gabe Nabers after this season and could potentially lose Tre McKitty if he decides to declare for the NFL after this season.

That would leave Alexander Marshall and Camren McDonald as the only two tight ends on scholarship. Carter Boatwright plans to enroll early which would be beneficial in him finding the field early.

His willingness to block could help him find the field even earlier and he could carve out a niche on special teams.
