FSU Football: 3 ways Carter Boatwright commitment impacts Noles

Recruiting Georgia

FSU coaches have made it a priority this recruiting cycle to lock down the state of Florida. In fact, 12 of the 14 commitments hail from the Sunshine state.

The other two? Four-star cornerback Isaiah Dunson and now Carter Boatwright hail from the Peach state.

Georgia is an important footprint for the Noles and maintaining that footprint or even expanding it will be vital for the success of the program.

Boatwright’s high school team is a state power that’s competed for state championships multiple times in the last decade and won two of them.

FSU football is still a national brand despite the perception of the last two years. However, it doesn’t have the resources some of the older schools have so it’s best to use those resources efficiently.

That means taking quality players from your backyard as Moultrie, Georgia, is just 70 miles northeast of Tallahassee.
