Man, If you’re a long time reader of my work you know I’ve thought FSU football has been soft overall for while now.

The offensive line has been getting pushed around for years. FSU’s defensive line took a step back last season and got the ball ran down their throats at times.

The NC State game comes to mind and it always seems the Noles were on the receiving end of getting whipped.

I’ve said it time and time again, the last time I remember a FSU player laying the wood on somebody was Matthew Thomas hitting the Michigan running back in the backfield shortly after the Noonie Murray fumble on the punt return.

Well, Carter Boatwright isnt’ afraid to get dirty ladies and gentlemen. I watched his film and his willingness to block was a welcome site. That’s a mindset that will fit in perfectly with the culture Willie Taggart is trying to cultivate in Tallahassee.

That workmanlike mentality that will do the dirty work on third and three, or one of those guys that sets the tone in the weight room in the offseason.

It’s something the Noles have been missing for a while and it’s good to see coaches nail the evaluation on this young man before others came calling.
