Final Thoughts

It’s quite possible other redshirt freshman step their game up in 2019. Wide receivers Warren Thompson and Jordan Young come to mind.

Both showed flashes in the spring game but the wide receiver group is pretty stacked going into the season.

There’s also players like Jamarcus Chatman at defensive tackle who should see snaps in 2019.

There’s a number of offensive linemen who redshirted last season, but most of them likely need another year in the strength and conditioning program to solidify their spots.

If they have to play that’s not a good sign, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Chaz Neal and possibly Jalen Goss saw snaps this season.

All in all, Willie Taggart’s inaugural class looks to be a solid collection of talent that will be vital to the success of the team the next two years.

If they can get solid contributions from the three players listed and a couple more that’ll be huge for the program moving forward as much of the players the old regime brought in never became contributors.
