Recruiting

I mentioned how most of the top players in the 2019 recruiting class decided not to sign with the Noles.

It’s still early in the 2020 recruiting cycle regarding rankings, but who would have thought the Noles would have a class in the top eight after how they finished last season?

The crazy thing is FSU is coming off its worst season and Florida is coming off its best season in forever and the Noles are one spot behind them in the rankings.

Miami is a ranked a few spots higher but that simply because they have three more commits than FSU while the Noles have a higher per player ranking.

As I mentioned, FSU already has it’s No. 1 QB target committed and have already filled most of its needs at linebacker and defensive back. They have a solid start with one commit along the offensive line and wide receivers.

They’re in a great position to land some talented running backs, but need to concentrate along the defensive line. All in all, the class is about as good as one could hope and the Noles did a great job of establishing recruiting momentum by landing about four commitments in a two-week span.

The class is about half full with 12 commits and it’s likely the Noles can land a top 10 recruiting class as long as they don’t totally bomb during the season like last year.
