FSU football has added its second 2020 commitment in as many days. Proof Willie Taggart likes to bring them in bunches to establish momentum.
I wrote FSU football would likely have another commitment soon after three-star defensive end Josh Griffis pledged his commitment Friday to the Noles.
Sure enough, just a day later four-star defensive back Jalen Harrell announced his commitment to the Noles.
It’s the ninth commitment in the class and the seventh defensive player taken by the staff.
Harrell is considered the No. 274 player overall and No. 21 cornerback in the nation. He’s considered the No. 40 player in the state of Florida.
To make things better? Harrell hails from the 305 and committed to the Noles while Miami’s spring game was taking place in Orlando.

Harrell holds offers from the likes of Clemson, Miami, Arkansas, Louisville, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Nebraska and others.

Thoughts
This tweet below is the biggest thing that sticks out to me along with him being from Miami and flying under the radar. What I mean by that is his most folk thought Willie Taggart’s commitment tweet was for an offensive lineman or something of that nature.
FSU newest commit. ..a DB....6'2"...with a wingspan of someone 6'6"...can combat the WR size Clemson has...

FSU coach Telly Lockette is the key here as he is the former head coach at Miami Central which is where Harrell plays.
It’s also the former high school of FSU legend Dalvin Cook who was coached by Lockette.
Harrell’s commitment boosts the Noles back into the top 10 at No. 7 via the 247 Composite Rankings.
It’s still early and there’s a few Noles that should eventually be rated as four-star players when rankings are updated.
This a good pull from Miami’s backyard and fits what the Noles are trying to accomplish in the FSU secondary.
