Cyrus Fagan

The FSU secondary was pretty awful last season, particularly at the safety position occupied by A.J. Westbrook who was singled out by multiple offensive coordinators of opposing teams.

One player that should have had more of an impact was Cyrus Fagan. The four-star safety came to FSU in the 2017 class as the No. 97 player overall and the No. 13 ranked safety in the nation.

Fagan has great length and size at 6’2 and 185 pounds. Fagan apparently played injured for parts of the year last season and that could be a reason he was seemed to be invisible even though he played in all 12 games.

Fagan finished the season with 24 total tackles and two passes broken up. The cornerbacks return a lot of talent, experience and depth.

However, it’s the secondary needs to step up across the board and Fagan is the safety with the most to prove after two seasons.
