Alante Brown

Alante Brown is a player the Noles had on campus on the weekend of January 19th. Brown is a former Michigan State commit whose scholarship was pulled because he decided to visit Florida State.

He’s rated as the No. 635 player nationally and No. 78 wide receiver on the composite rankings.

By all accounts his visit to FSU went extremely and Brown said the Noles are looking to use him in a variety of positions.

Most notably, they plan to use him at running back and in the slot where they can get him in space with the ball in his hands.

He’s 5’10’ 180 pounds, so I see him more of a receiver than running back. The other schools vying for his signature are Texas Tech, Iowa State, Pittsburgh and Florida Atlantic.

Brown visited Texas Tech this past weekend but the Noles lead 247’s crystal ball predictions. Of course those are not always automatic, but I have a hard time seeing him choosing any of these other schools over the Noles.

The only thing I can see happening is if FSU lands someone else and the numbers dictate they wouldn’t have room to take his commitment as his position isn’t one of huge need.
