FSU Football: 5 reasons for excitement around ‘Noles offseason
By Kelvin Hunt
2019 Recruiting Class
A lot of FSU football fans seem to be disappointed with the 2019 recruiting class rankings. I’m not sure why with the seasons the Noles had on the field.
In fact, I think it’s rather remarkable the Noles are ranked No. 16 in the country with several remaining targets unsigned.
They’ll likely finish outside the top 10, but if that’s the case where will the Noles finish if they can win eight or nine games in 2019?
They are doing a solid job despite not landing a ton of elite players, but they have 11 players ranked in the top 25 or better at their respective position.
The staff has arguably the best defensive backs group in the country.
They’ve done a great job of filling their needs at the linebacker position. They are still addressing the offensive line but have brought in two transfers who will be eligible to contribute in 2019.
The only glaring hole is at quarterback as they’ve yet to land a quarterback after Sam Howell left. However, they are in good spot for a quarterback in Lance LeGendre who fits the FSU offense well.
If they land LeGendre and a couple more offensive linemen this class will meet every need to raise the floor of the program.
