FSU Football: 3 positives of hiring Ron Dugans on staff

Listen, a lot of folk seem to think David Kelly (FSU WR coach in 2018) was some slouch when it came to coaching wide receivers and that’s not the case AT all.
In fact, I think the wide receivers played well in 2018 despite being extremely young at the position.
However, Ron Dugans’s resume speaks for itself when it comes to getting wide receivers to be productive at the college level.
Here’s a list of wide receivers who were drafted while being coached by Dugans:
- Braxton Berrios (Miami)
- Stacy Coley (Miami)
- Ahmmon Richards (Miami) (likely first round pick but injury ended his career)
- Rodney Adams (South Florida)
- DeVante Parker (Louisville)
That’s more at three different schools in a shorter amount of time than FSU football has had in the last decade.
He also had three Miami wide receivers to be named All-ACC in just three years there.
