Keyshawn Helton

I don’t think true freshman Keyshawn Helton make anybody’s list in regards to players to be on the lookout for prior to the game.

However, he made his presence felt early on and finished the game with a team leading six receptions for 73 yards.

He also had two kickoff returns for 48 yards with his longest return going for 30 yards.

One of his biggest plays was a shovel pass he took from Deondre Francois on a jet sweep that he took around the edge and took a massive hit only to bounce off and get another 10 yards or so on the play.

It really helped set the tone that FSU was not going to be bullied around like last year even though he wasn’t even on last year’s team.

Helton could be carving out a nice role for himself moving forward as he’s the type of player all fans like to watch perform. He’s all small in stature but plays with all heart.
