FSU Football: 5 impact players for Noles against Boston College
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU football had a number of great individual efforts Saturday night. We look at five impact players for the Noles against Boston College.
FSU football did what it had to do to pull out a win as a three-point home underdog against No. 20 Boston College.
They were able to overcome two first half turnovers, terrible officiating and a late fourth quarter deficit to get the win and have the opportunity to become bowl eligible with a win over Florida next week.
The Noles played well in spurts, in particular on defense where they shut down Boston College’s run game and forced two turnovers of their own.
The offense also played decently although they had a lot of self-inflicted wounds and squandered a lot of opportunities to put Boston College in an early deficit.
They surpassed the average Boston College allows per game (4.94 ypp) when it came to yards per play, chipping in at a robust 6.3 ypp.
The FSU defense held Boston College to 4.85 ypp which is a good bit below your season average going into the game.
Special teams left a lot to be desired with a blocked field goal and a punt that should have been blocked.
Nevertheless, let’s take a look at five individuals who made significant plays to help FSU football get the much-needed win against the Eagles.
