FSU Football: 5 areas that separate the Noles from Miami
By Kelvin Hunt
QB Play
FSU’s quarterback is Deondre Francois and he’s the only quarterback to see the field for the Noles in 2018.
Miami has made the change from senior Malik Rosier to redshirt freshman N’Kosi Perry who will be making his second career start Saturday against FSU.
Francois is the more experience QB who’s coming off a strong second half against Louisville.
He’s completing 63 percent of his passes for 1,377 yards with nine touchdowns and five interceptions. He does have two rushing touchdowns on the season.
Perry wasn’t asked to do much in his first career start since UNC basically handed Miami a huge lead by turning the ball over six times. Francois has gone up against elite defenses several times in his FSU football career.
This will be Perry’s toughest test to date by far so it’ll be interesting to see how he deals with the pressure.
Miami quarterbacks have been sacked nine times compared to 12 for Deondre Francois.
