Brian Burns

Brian Burns lived in the Louisville backfield all game and finished with six tackles and 1.5 sacks on the day.

He also recovered a fumble and returned it 14 yards giving the Noles excellent field position. The great thing about Brian Burns is a lot of his work doesn’t show up on the stats sheet as he’s often double teamed which allows his teammates to make more plays.

He’s almost always around the quarterback applying pressure and forcing them to make quick decisions that often results in inaccurate throws.

Some folk were criticizing Burns on prior to this game regarding his lack of sacks on the season.

The crazy thing is he’s averaging over a sack per game on the year, not to mention all the quarterback hurries. He’s already surpassed his entire sack total from 2017 through five games.

Also, 34 percent of his overall tackles are tackles for loss which he’s almost halfway to his total from last season through five games.
