Georgetown Hoyas (Big East Conference)

With the Seminoles possibly playing Villanova this season, the choices are limited in what was once the premier conference in college basketball. The Hoyas are rebuilding, so the Noles would be in a good position to get a power win while getting a chance to play in the nation’s capital for the first time against Georgetown.

Virginia Commonwealth Rams (Atlantic 10 Conference)

VCU joined the old Metro Conference after the Seminoles had left, so the teams have played just three times with all coming since 2011 – including FSU basketball losing a one point overtime game that year in the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA tournament. The Rams fall right on that line of being a team that the Seminoles could dominate and it wouldn’t look bad for them.

Wichita State Shockers (American Athletic Conference)

Call me a big school elitist, but I still can’t handle the fact that FSU basketball has been to the final four just one time but this team has been twice in their history – with the last one coming just five years ago.

The Shockers moved up to a bigger conference recently to get more exposure, so a series against an ACC team sounds like something that would be perfect.
