Jameis Winston still gets a lot of hate from his time at FSU even though he’s constantly doing positive things.

Former FSU star quarterback Jameis Winston was back in Tallahassee this week and got to hang out with the team and meet all the new coaches.

He spoke to the team while also working out with fellow Tampa Bay Buccaneer Desean Jackson in the IPF.

Winston caught some flack from some FSU fans in December for showing his support for Jimbo Fisher, but Winston was clear to communicate he has tons of love for FSU football.

It was good to see him back on campus to demonstrate that too. While he was here he presented a FSU student manager with a full scholarship.

The interaction can be seen in the video below:

Thoughts

It looks like Jameis Winston may have observed the young man a day or so before at practice or something and must have come away impressed by his work ethic.

It goes to show that one should always work hard because you never know who’s watching. I do have an old man gripe of the young man not standing up to shake hands, but at least he seemed appreciative of the gesture.

I’m not sure if Willie Taggart had anything to do with this, but this is just another story to add to the way former players are coming back to this FSU football program. Check this out:

It’s expected that over 300 former players will be at FSU’s spring game this weekend which hasn’t happened in quite some time.

The more former players are around the more things like this can happen with players giving back to the program in some form or fashion. Congrats to the student manager and props to Jameis for giving back!
