FSU Alums: Jalen Ramsey highlight reel shows he is the best in NFL
By Jason Parker
Jalen Ramsey just finished his second season in the NFL and is already being hailed as maybe the best defensive back in the entire league.
Nearly two years ago, Jalen Ramsey went from being one of the best players in college football during his three seasons with the Florida State Seminoles to being a top five pick in the NFL Draft when he was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars – where plenty of people in Duval County were expecting big things from the former Nole.
Fast forward two years later, and Ramsey has not only established himself as the cornerstone of the Jaguars’ secondary, but maybe as the best defensive back in all of the NFL. After a rookie season that includes two interceptions – one being a pick six against Tennessee – Jalen Ramsey had a standout sophomore campaign that few players can do.
The 2017 season saw Ramsey finish with four interceptions and 17 pass deflections in the regular season while helping lead Jacksonville back to the postseason – where he sealed a Wild Card win with a pick and they came within one half of making it to the Super Bowl for the first time in team history.
The NFL’s Twitter page recently released a highlight video of Jalen Ramsey in 2017 – and if you didn’t believe he was the best of the best before hand, you might after seeing this.
At just 23 years old, Jalen Ramsey has his whole NFL career ahead of him – and if he can play at even half the level that he has during his first two seasons with the Jaguars, the league is going to have to get used to saying he is the best defensive back out there.

Ramsey has also made the Jaguars no longer a joke and has Jacksonville in a position where they could be in the playoff hunt for years to come.
