Secondary

The great thing about the FSU secondary is there is an abundance of talent and experience even though they lose Derwin James, Taravarus McFadden, Trey Marshall, Nate Andrews and Ermon Lane.

It’ll be an open competition under new defensive coordinator Harlon Barnett who likes physical corners who can play man-to-man.

The likely replacement for James will be Hamsah Nasirildeen and the replacement for McFadden will likely be Stanford Samuels at boundary cornerback.

Carlos Becker should be in the mix at either cornerback or safety provided he recovers from off-season surgery.

Also, look for true freshman and early enrollee Jaiden Woodbey to put himself in the mix at safety.

The field cornerback will likely be Levonta Taylor with others like Kyle Meyers, AJ Westbrook and redshirt freshman Ontaria Wilson.
