Oregon

Taggart’s recruiting class at Oregon is kinda of weird in that he didn’t officially become head coach until December 7, 2016.

He didn’t have much time to put his fingerprints on that recruiting class with National Signing Day so close. However, I figured we’d still to take a look at it since his situation with FSU football will be similar.

Taggart signed 25 players in the Oregon 2017 recruiting class. There were 11 defensive players and 14 offensive players.

For those concerned about Taggart not taking defensive tackles at USF. He took five defensive tackles in the 2017 Oregon recruiting class.

However, he still placed heavy emphasis on defensive backs with four taken that recruiting cycle.

It should be noted Taggart had put together Oregon’s most highly rated recruiting class in history before departing for FSU this year. They were ranked No. 7 in the country with over 50 percent of the class consisting of blue chip players.

That’s why everyone’s so excited about what Taggart will be able to do at FSU.
