Logan Tyler

It’s amazing what kind of turnaround Logan Tyler has had to the season considering how it started off for him against Alabama.

The kid has turned into a very consistent punter and strength for the ‘Noles on the year. Tyler had seven punts on the day, averaging 47.7 yards per punt with a long of 60 yards.

The latter was huge as the punt was downed at the seven yard line. Levonta Taylor’s first interception resulted three plays later and gave the ‘Noles the ball deep in Florida territory.

Another punt by Tyler was downed at the Florida 15 yard line. Taylor’s second interception that was returned for a touchdown happened just two plays later.

He had four punts of 53 yards or more and pinned Florida deep in their own territory a number of times.

It was huge since FSU’s offense continued to struggle a bit and forced Florida’s inept offense operate consistently for long drives which they were not able to do.

Don’t look now, but Tyler is averaging 42.66 yards per punt which is good for No. 36 in the nation.
