FSU Football: Our 5 impact players against Florida Gators
By Kelvin Hunt
Levonta Taylor
You’ve already seen this name a few times on the list. The former No. 1 cornerback recruit had a career day against the Florida Gators with two interceptions.
Of course, as we mentioned he was able to return one of them for a touchdown. The other interception also resulted in a touchdown as it gave the FSU offense great field position in Florida territory.
Taylor finished the game with just one tackle which is the norm as he rarely has passes completed against him.
In fact, he’s one of the ACC leaders in defensive backs with less than 40 percent of the passes thrown his way being completed.
Taylor battled injuries and freshman jitters last year, but has put in the work to become one of FSU’s best young leaders on this team.
He may be smaller in stature, but plays with huge heart and tenacity that’s a welcome sight on this year’s team.
