FSU Football: Preview and predictions for September games
By Jason Parker
September 9th vs. Louisiana-Monroe
After the opener in Atlanta, the Seminoles return home for the first of three straight games inside Doak Campbell Stadium. This year, playing the role of “cupcake or easy win” after a tough opener will be the Warhawks from the Sun Belt Conference. The teams have met just one time before, with the Seminoles shutting out their foes during the 2011 season opener in Tallahassee, 34-0.
Florida State is going to be one of two teams entering this game: either a team who is frustrated and angry from dropping their opener to Alabama or a team that is going to be on top of the world after getting the win and likely becoming the top ranked team in the land. Either way, things don’t look good for a ULM team that isn’t predicted to do much in their own conference this season, much less come to Tallahassee and try to pull off an upset.
Prediction: For the Warhawks, a victory might be getting into the end zone of Doak Campbell Stadium for the first time ever. This one is going to be over quickly as FSU football turns their focus to the next two crucial games on the schedule. Florida State 45 Louisiana-Monroe 3
