Located in Fertile Recruiting Area

The state of Florida is always among the states that produce the most Division I football players and FSU football has always been a program that recruited at an elite level going back to the Bobby Bowden days.

The fact of the matter is Fisher has ridiculous amounts of competition coming in for these Florida recruits. Not only does he have to recruit against in-state powers Florida and Miami, he now has to stave off programs like Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan, LSU and others looking to get a piece of the fertile pie.

Despite that, Fisher has never finished second in the ACC regarding the 247Sports Composite rankings since becoming head coach at FSU.

Fisher finished outside the top 10 once in seven years, which was 2014 where he finished No. 11 in the nation.

If you think it’s easy to land top class after top class, just look at the number of programs located in the same fertile area that don’t come close to what FSU does in the recruiting game.
