Ranking Justification

Steve Addazio enters his fifth season at the helm of Boston College football. He had a nice bounce back season in 2016, going 7-6 after going winless in conference play the prior year with just three total wins.

He has finished 7-6 in three of the four seasons at Boston College, but his teams usually play tough, hard-nosed football despite being outgunned talent wise more often than not.

The Eagles finished the 2016 with three consecutive wins, including a win over Maryland in the Quick Lane Bowl.
