FSU Football: What Power Five Teams Have The Noles Never Played?

Big Ten Conference (Six Teams)

Illinois Fighting Illini – Head coach Lovie Smith loved the ‘Noles so much he drafted Jameis Winston when coaching the Bucs, so why not pay them back with a nice series, huh? It would also give the ‘Noles a chance to beat another team in orange and blue

Iowa Hawkeyes – It’s interesting that there never was a game scheduled back in the day between old school coaches like Bobby Bowden and Hayden Fry. Iowa is used to playing bowl games in Florida, so they know what they would be getting into.

Minnesota Golden Gophers – As long as this game is not scheduled for the middle of November, it would be okay to take place in the Twin Cities – if not, Tallahassee only. I’m not getting into any snow during a football game.

Northwestern Wildcats – While FSU football has played games in pretty much every major city in America – including the New York and LA metro areas – there has never been a game near the Windy City.

Purdue Boilermakers – I’m going to be slightly an elitist here and say this game should only take place in Tallahassee. West Lafayette, Indiana doesn’t exactly sound sexy to those of us in garnet and gold.

Rutgers Scarlet Knights – The Seminoles have played several games in the state of New Jersey in the old Kickoff Classic, but never taken on the STATE UNIVERSITY of New Jersey. Too bad Tony Soprano won’t be around for this one.
