FSU football is one of the 64 teams who play in a Power Five college football conference – a group featuring a decent amount of teams FSU has never played.

For the second time since the College Football Playoff came into place before the 2014 season, FSU football will see 10 teams on their schedule from what is commonly called now “Power Five” conferences. The group of 64 teams – playing in the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac 12 and SEC – make up exactly one half of the teams playing FBS football this season.

While Florida State’s schedule will be what the selection playoff committee likes to see – eight conference games with the ACC in addition to games against Alabama and Florida from the SEC – it will again feature a team that the Seminoles have played before – having faced the Crimson Tide three different times dating back to the mid-1960’s.

In reality, FSU football has played their share of games over the last 70 seasons against dozens of teams who play in the Power Five – while still having yet to schedule a game with 17 of the schools that make up the group (and currently not having any future games planned). Here’s a look at those teams that the ‘Noles still have yet to battle on the field.
