FSU Football: Dalvin Cook Third Best Running Back In Nation?
By Kelvin Hunt
Conclusion
The only clear knock on Cook is his injury history(in which last season was the only time that was an issue). We think what’s even more impressive is that Cook was able to produce the way he did while battling the hamstring injury all year.
Cook finished seventh in the Heisman’s Trophy voting, but we know much of that has to do with how well the team is doing throughout the year. FSU had lost two games with three games remaining on the schedule which effectively eliminated Cook from consideration.
He won the Jim Brown Award which goes to the nations best running back. Fournette had 70 more carries than Cook and McCaffrey had 108 more carries than Cook.
What Cook did last season was incredible against the level of competition he faced, not to mention the offense relied heavily on him because of an inconsistent passing game.
Fournette and McCaffrey are great talents, but to list them both in the top five NFL prospects without listing Cook is surprising.
We understand this is a FSU site, but do you think Cook is the nation’s third best running back? If you’re a Stanford or LSU fan, feel to drop your reasons to support your argument.
