FSU Spring Practice: Top 5 Things Going Into Spring Game
By Kelvin Hunt
Ricky Aguayo is following his brother’s (Roberto) footsteps at FSU. Roberto is arguably the greatest kicker in FSU and NCAA history. The older Aguayo was allowed to redshirt his freshman year, sitting behind Dustin Hopkins in 2012.
Ricky Aguayo will not be afforded that luxury as he will be starting at FSU as a true freshman. However, he has been around the program quite a bit with his brother here the three previous years.
He understands the expectations he’ll be facing and seems up to the challenge.
Coach Fisher has stated that Aguayo has been kicking the ball well, he has made a number of field goals in the scrimmage games while only missing two kicks.
Fisher said that Aguayo made a couple of field goals as time was winding down in one of the scrimmage games. Aguayo made a 57 yard field goal during practice on Wednesday with plenty of spare.
That thing would have been good from 65! We think we have a kicker yall!
