FSU football looks to continue the momentum on the recruiting trails. A big time target has set a date to choose between FSU and Ohio State.

Last week four-star linebacker recruit Teradja Mitchell said he had big news coming soon, and now we have an official date.

He hails from Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School in Virginia Beach, VA. That’s the same high school at 2017 FSU signee Khalan Laborn.

Mitchell is rated as the No. 38 player overall in the nation and the No. 2 linebacker in the class and the No. 2 player in the state of Virginia.

He’ll be choosing between two elite programs in FSU football and Ohio State as seen in the tweet below.

Thoughts

The significance of the date is FSU football had the final visit for Mitchell on the weekend of May 12. Most insiders believe FSU closed strongly with Mitchell and he’ll select the ‘Noles by the flood of crystal balls on 247Sports.

Of course, there isn’t an exact science with those, so ultimately we’ll find out what’s up on June 2. However, there’s usually a correlation with the number of times a recruit visits a school and them committing.

Mitchell has been to FSU several times and brought family with him on his final visit. Also, having the best player from his home state enroll at FSU the past three years shouldn’t hurt either.

Hopefully it’s another one for the good guys, but stay tuned to find out where he decided on June 2.
