QB THOMAS CASTELLANOS

This is an opportunity to get in and get on for the talented signal-caller Thomas Castellanos. Fans have been pleased with the way that the offense has gelled with Castellanos and new offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn.

Some individuals were skeptical of the quarterback's short-to-intermediate passing accuracy, but he has delivered thus far. Even though it has only been a two-game sample size, it is encouraging to see the former UCF and Boston College transfer, who was benched last year.

Florida State had massive success in the East Texas A&M game, where the Seminoles led at halftime by a score of 49-0. The starters were able to exit the game early enough, and the reserves had an opportunity to get some burn.

Castellanos has been part of the early Heisman Trophy potential candidates. It is a long way to go, but the quarterback could have the chance to make a move if he can beat Miami and/or Clemson.
