WILL FSU GET MORE TALENTED OFFENSIVE LINEMEN?
Florida State football currently has three-star offensive linemen Xavier Payne and Michael Ionata in the fold thus far, but they would like to get more talent in the trenches.
I am a fan of Payne and Ionata's game, but I realize that this recruiting class needs highly-touted prospects on the offensive line. One thing that fans noticed is that former offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins did not play any of the recruits and only featured transfers (minus Robert Scott and Andre Otto).
Offensive line coach Herb Hand is an experienced assistant coach who has been around programs such as Auburn, Vanderbilt, Texas, Penn State, and UCF. This should allow recruits to see the vision of how Coach Hand operates.
However, it has been surprising that Coach Hand has only grabbed Ionata in the recruiting class. However, we need to face the facts that the Seminoles' offensive line was one of the worst in the country last year.
